1. ELIGIBILITY
(1.1) If you are enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. College or University program, you are eligible to apply for the Investormint Scholarship.
(1.2) No employees, officers, directors, nor agents of Investormint, and its related companies are permitted to apply for the Investormint Scholarship.
(1.3) No purchase needs to be made to apply for the Investormint Scholarship.
(1.4) Proof of attendance at a U.S. College or University must be provided by the winner.
2. HOW TO APPLY FOR INVESTORMINT SCHOLARSHIP
(2.1) Each essay submission must be made no later than the due date for the given academic year.
(2.2) No more than one application per person is permitted.
(2.3) All essay submissions must be unique and comprise original content.
(2.4) Plagiarism of any kind will render an application void and the applicant ineligible to win.
(2.5) All entries must be in English and be a minimum of 1,501 words.
(2.6) No revisions to submitted applications will be accepted.
(2.7) All applications, essays, content, and manuscripts become the property of Investormint and will not be returned.
(2.8) Investormint has sole authority to disqualify applicants at its own discretion and without recourse if submissions are deemed inappropriate, illegal, or libelous.
(2.9) No responsibility is borne by Investormint for any entries that are lost or unreadable.
(2.10) By submitting an application to the Investormint Scholarship program, you unconditionally agree to all rules, terms and conditions of Investormint.
(2.11) All rules are final and binding.
(2.12) No responsibility is borne by Investormint for any incorrect email addresses submitted alongside applications.
3. HOW WINNERS ARE CHOSEN
(3.1) Priority is given to clarity and logical thought progression of essay submissions.
(3.2) Innovative arguments earn bonus points but are not necessary to win.
(3.3) Winners must submit essays that meet minimum word count requirements.
(3.4) The winner will be notified by email.
(3.5) Investormint may post any and all essay applications on its website in whole or in part without further compensation to winner or any compensation whatsoever to applicants, and applicants consent to these terms by applying.
4. PRIZES
(4.1) A single winner will be selected to receive the prize of $1,000 USD.
(4.2) The prize in the form of a check will be paid directly to the College or University attended by the Investormint Scholarship prize winner.
(4.3) The Investormint Scholarship is not exchangeable or transferrable in any way.
(4.4) The Investormint Scholarship may not be redeemed for cash.
(4.5) Applicants agree to be bound by the rules set forth and understand that failure to provide proof of identity, proof of full-time attendance at accredited U.S. College or University, and tax forms required by the IRS, including a W-9, may forfeit any prize won and render themselves ineligible for consideration to win.
(4.6) In the event that a winner is deemed to have violated any terms and conditions set forth, the next highest scoring applicant will be adjudicated to have won the Investormint Scholarship. Until an applicant meets all criteria, no prizes will be disbursed. If no applicant meets the Eligibility criteria set forth in Section 1, no prizes will be distributed.
(4.7) Investormint is not liable for any losses, damages, nor injuries of any kind arising from participation in the Investormint Scholarship program.
(4.8) Investormint assumes no liability whatsoever in any regard for mis-use in any way of the Investormint Scholarship.
(4.9) Investormint bears no responsibility for errors in publishing winners, late or delayed arrival of sent checks, nor errors on the part of the College or University in accepting the Investormint Scholarship on behalf of the winner.
(4.10) Investormint Scholarship winners bear sole responsibility for paying taxes on prize winnings.
(4.11) Investormint will issue a 10-99 tax form to U.S. prize winners.
5. NO OBLIGATION TO USE
(5.1) Investormint has no obligation to use any winning application in any publication or promotion, or in any capacity whatsoever.
(5.2) Investormint may choose to no longer use any application in any form for any reason, with or without legal justification or reason, and the prize winners shall not be entitled to any damages or other relief for any reason.
6. RIGHTS
(6.1) Investormint Scholarship applicants agree that Investormint may, at its discretion and without further consultation, use any applicant’s name, voice, and essay content and materials in any and all media worldwide for the purposes of advertising and promoting Investormint.
(6.2) Each applicant warrants and represents that all essay materials submitted are original works, and that he/she has sole ownership rights of and to all materials submitted.
(6.3) Each applicant warrants and represents that no work submitted infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or patent to which they do not hold full ownership.
(6.4) Each applicant warrants an represents that no materials submitted have been created in exchange for compensation by any third party.
7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
(7.1) Each applicant agrees that all rules, rights, and obligations of participants and Investormint are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware without consideration to any conflicts of law of any jurisdiction.
(7.2) Any legal action relating to the Investormint Scholarship shall be filed on in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
(7.3) Each applicant consents to the personal jurisdiction of state and federal courts in the State of Delaware for the purposes of litigating any legal action.
(7.4) By entering the Investormint Scholarship program, each applicant agrees that any and all disputes and claims connected with the Investormint Scholarship, or awarding of prizes, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action.
(7.5) By entering the Investormint Scholarship program, each applicant agrees that any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including expenses related to participating in the Investormint Scholarship but in no event attorneys’ fees.
(7.6) By entering the Investormint Scholarship program, each applicant agrees to waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
8. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
(8.1) Each applicant warrants and represents that all materials submitted are original and previously unpublished in any form.
(8.2) Each applicant warrants and represents that material submitted is not copyrighted or trademarked, or owned in any way by any other person.
(8.3) Each applicant warrants and represents that material submitted is not subject to any litigation or claims as of the submission date.
(8.4) Each applicant warrants and represents that material submitted does not infringe nor violate the intellectual property rights nor other rights of any other person or entity.
(8.5) Each applicant warrants and represents that material submitted will not violate any applicable laws.
(8.6) Each applicant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Investormint harmless from and against any and all 3rd party claim, actions and/or proceedings of any kind.
(8.7) Each applicant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Investormint harmless from all damages, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to or arising from any breach or alleged breach of any of the warranties, representations or agreements of applicant herein.
(8.8) Investormint will not discriminate against any applicant because of age, race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
9. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION
(9.1) Investormint Scholarship prize winners may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity/Liability Release, and Copyright Assignment within 14 days of notification. Failure to do so will render the applicant ineligible to win the Investormint Scholarship, and will automatically cause the applicant with the next highest score to be notified as the Investormint Scholarship prize winner.
(9.2) If Investormint Scholarship prize winner cannot be reached for any reason within 14 days of notification, the applicant with the next highest score will be selected as the Investormint Scholarship prize winner.
10. PRIVACY TERMS
(10.1) You accept and acknowledge that Investormint may communicate with you via email, phone, or mail information that pertains to your application for the Investormint Scholarship.
11. GENERAL RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
(11.1) By submitting an entry to the Investormint Scholarship, each applicant agrees and acknowledges that Investormint, and its related companies and affiliates, as well as employees, officers, directors, and agents are not responsible for any costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or related to lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or illegible entries.
(11.2) By submitting an entry to the Investormint Scholarship, each applicant agrees and acknowledges that Investormint, and its related companies and affiliates, as well as employees, officers, directors, and agents are not responsible for any failure to receive applications because of any cause, including without limitation human, transmission, or technical problems, failures, or malfunctions of any kind, whether originating with sender, or otherwise, that may limit an applicant’s ability to participate in the Investormint Scholarship.
(11.3) By submitting an entry to the Investormint Scholarship, each applicant agrees and acknowledges that Investormint, and its related companies and affiliates, as well as employees, officers, directors, and agents are not responsible for any injury or damage resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Investormint Scholarship.
(11.4) By submitting an entry to the Investormint Scholarship, each applicant agrees and acknowledges that Investormint, and its related companies and affiliates, as well as employees, officers, directors, and agents are not responsible for use of any prize, including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, or any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages related to or based on the applicant’s rights of publicity or privacy, or the applicant’s claim that he or she has somehow been defamed or portrayed falsely.
(11.5) Investormint bears no responsibility for any damage to an applicant’s computer system or mobile devices that takes place by accessing Investormint.com or participating in the Investormint Scholarship.
(11.6) Investormint bears no responsibility for any damage to an applicant’s computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information by participating in the Investormint Scholarship.
(11.7) The Investormint Scholarship program is subject to all U. S. federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
12. RIGHT TO TERMINATE INVESTORMINT SCHOLARSHIP
(12.1) Should Investormint choose to discontinue the Investormint Scholarship for any reason or no reason whatsoever, Investormint shall have the right to terminate, suspend, or modify the Investormint Scholarship in its sole discretion in any way it deems fit at any time.
13. GENERAL PROVISIONS
(13.1) Any applicant who is deemed to be cheating, circumventing, or tampering with the application process will be subject to disqualification at the sole discretion of Investormint.
(13.2) If uncertainty or dispute arises pertaining to the identity of an applicant, the rightful owner of the email address used to enter the Investormint Scholarship program will be deemed the applicant.
(13.3) In the event an application is inadvertently lost, mislaid, deleted, or destroyed, an applicant may be eligible to submit another application at the sole discretion of Investormint officers.
(13.4) If Investormint fails to enforce any term of these official rules, said failure shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
14. INVESTORMINT SCHOLARSHIP PRIZE WINNERS
The names of the scholarship prize recipients of this scholarship program will be posted on the Investormint Website at https://investormint.com/scholarship-winners
